faq frequently asked questions on hypnotherapy
Q
What is hypnosis?
A

Hypnosis is actually a deep relaxation state in which the subconscious can easily accept positive ideas and suggestions. This calm and comfortable state enables to change your behavior and/or beliefs by replacing old ones that you no longer need or want with more positive ones leading to your desired outcome.

Q
Can I be hypnotized?
A

Most definitely YES! In fact, everyone experiences a hypnotic state every single day, at least twice, really! In the first session, the suggestibility (how you receive information) is determined to be able to induce the hypnotic state smoothly.

Q
In hypnosis, would I say or do something I don’t want to say or do?
A

It’s actually NOT possible to make you say or do anything that is against your values and/or will in hypnosis. The role of your hypnotherapist is to accompany you in the journey toward your goal and desire by assisting you to empower your own subconscious in alignment with your consciousness.

Q
What does it feel like in hypnosis? Would I lose control in an unconscious state?
A

Hypnosis is a natural physiological state of deep relaxation in both mind and body, but NOT the actual physical sleep state. You are in control at all times and can come out of the hypnotic state if and when you wish. Many experiences revitalized and refreshed, feeling relaxed and alert after coming out of the hypnosis.

Q
What if I get stuck in hypnotic state?
A

It’s actually not possible to get stuck in a hypnotic state. It is a more fluid state that we go in and out of, so it always comes to an end naturally. In hypnotherapy, your hypnotherapist makes sure that you come back to a more alert, conscious state at the end, but you can also intentionally bring yourself out of it, if you wish, at any time.
